We were having our weekly Yassin recitation in the Bilik Gerakan of Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Tampin, when all of a sudden, at around 9.40, we heard the blaring and continuous sound of siren which meant only one thing.
The office's Fire Drill committee decided to conduct one today, 1st April 2016 (and it was not an April Fool;s prank!) because it is only on Fridays when most of the staff and officers are at the office. Mostly to meet and share their findings for the week. And we were in the midst of one such meeting when the fire drill took place.
It was an activity done to gauge the time taken for the whole staff of the office to leave the building and get to safety in case of a real emergency regarding fire. Apparently all went well because the committee did not report any shortcomings.
