Language Materials Adaptation

This is the last course for English teachers in the district Tampin for this year.  And as the school year draws to a close, teachers from more than fifty pre-schools, secondary and primary schools in this district, can now take a long sigh of relief, as far as attending courses are concerned.

The two-day course-cum-workshop was held at Darul Falah, Tampin District Education Office, from 13th November 2017 to 14th November 2017.  The programme was conducted by Master Trainers who had been trained to disseminate information regarding Language Materials Adaptation for classroom use.

It was quite evident during the group presentations, teachers have got a general idea of language materials adaptation with regards to the whats and hows.  This did not come as a surprise because the material and modules created by a foreign university were two years old (2015).  To be fair and realistic, our teachers have been adapting materials for language teaching long before that; in fact decades earlier.  An example of one such adaptation can be seen in http://thecookingteacher1969.blogspot.my/2014/04/complete-lesson-plan-form-4-wildlife.html and http://thecookingteacher1969.blogspot.my/search?q=complete+lesson
